-Type the name you wish to register
-Create a new username and password
    -Follow instructions
  2. What will be my web address?
You have 2 choices. You can purchase your own web address or if you already have one use it. When you sign up we will provide you with the name-server information and help you set up your web address (URL) so that it goes live. The process is very simple. Or you can have a free web address that we will set up for you as a sub domain. The address would be http://yournamechoice.ChromeHosting.net (where yournamechoice is the name you choose). This is much better than other free services which require your visitor to remember a /directoryname to get to your site.

You provide us with your information by email. Our professional designer will interact with you through email or by telephone to determine exactly what type of page you need. The designer will design a sample page and load it onto a special site address only given to you so that you may see the page live. You will be given the opportunity to interact with the designer and make recommendations, proof the page and have any changes made that you feel are necessary. Even though this is a free web page, it is your web page and we want to be certain you are happy with it before it goes online. Assuming there are minimal changes to your page we can usually have you online within a few days of your purchase.
  36. I operate a small business and would like the shopping cart how does that work?
You can use our shopping cart or you can purchase one of your own and we will help you set it up for a small fee. Our shopping cart is very sophisticated. With our Super Plan it is free to use. You must have our Super Plan to have access to our shopping cart for free otherwise there is a small fee to activate it in addition to any set up fees. If you already know how to program a relational database then you can learn fairly easily how to set up the shopping cart. Or we can set it up for you for a small fee. The fee really depends upon how much inventory you have to represent and how organized that is. If you would like a quote you will need to contact us. This is a one-time programming fee and is anywhere from $150.00 to $2500.00. We use the Open Source OsCommerce Shopping Cart, you are welcome to get a copy and FTP it to your site and set it up yourself if you are technically inclined. You have full FTP access to your site at any time and can set up this or any other program you choose. Once you have your shopping cart online you will also want to consider a secure certificate. This way when your customer shops your site they will have a padlock on the lower corner of the browser and know that their purchase is through a secure server. Most hosting companies charge a monthly fee for a secure server because it requires you to have a dedicated IP address for your hosting. We do not. We charge you a small yearly fee of around $38.00 for the secure certificate but we give you the dedicated IP address for free and do not charge you any monthly fees. Compare this same service to others that charge hundreds of dollars! At the same time you will probably want to set up a Paypal account if you do not already have one. Our shopping cart is already integrated with Paypal so that you can accept major credit cards and checks safely and securely without paying monthly fees. You simply pay a small transaction fee to Paypal for each transaction. We use the same Paypal system here with the purchase you make with us. It allows us to keep our costs to a minimum and pass the savings on to our customers.
  37. Do I need a credit card or Paypal account to pay you for services?
No, you do not need a credit card or a Paypal account to pay us for services. When you initiate the transaction by using the purchase button you will have the option of signing up for a paypal account or pressing a separate button to complete the transaction if you do not want to sign up for an account. You do not need a credit card but you will need a checking account to make the payment. Or you can mail a check or money order to us at the address located on our contact page.
  38. I want to have my own Domain Name how do I do that?
You will need to purchase your domain name separately. Once your domain name is purchased the nameservers will need to be pointed to our nameservers for hosting to take place. The process is very easy and can be done in a few clicks. We help you at no charge with instructions when you sign up an account with us or we can do it for you. We offer domain name services as well as other services such as Secure Certificates, Fax thru Email, Web Site Traffic Services and other domain related products through our ICANN accredited sister company MGW-Adtastic/WilderWebHosting at MGW-Adtastic which is our Domain Registration Company as well as offering other services. You can search for an available name and make your purchase through us if you choose. Simply click on the link, search for your available name and when you find one you want sign up a free account with MGW-Adtastic and purchase your domain name through our automated service on our secure server. Once you make your domain name purchase and set up your account come back to this site or simply press the "Home" Link from the MGW-Adtastic Domain Registration Site to purchase your hosting here. In addition, if you are purchasing our deluxe hosting service and want your own domain name it is best to let us purchase it for you then it is included in your account for free and you do not have to worry about annual renewals with ICANN, we take care of those for you. If you do not have your domain name already it is best to purchase the name through us as that gives you extra benefits and our purchase rate is very competitive, however, you can also transfer an active domain name into our service if you choose. Send us a message if you have any questions, or to let us know what your needs are- we offer free support and would certainly be happy to assist you.
  39. Once I purchase hosting how long will it take for my site to be online?
Once you purchase hosting and have a domain name or select a free name through our service we can have you online within 72 hours of receiving or designing your pages. In addition you will be given FTP access to your site where you can load your own pages if you choose.

Answers

  1. What is Virtual Hosting?
Virtual Hosting is also known as Shared Web Hosting, where you are sharing the physical server and a single set of software applications with other users. Virtual Hosting has been extremely popular in the past for it's fast deployment, strong resources, and most importantly for having a very reasonable price. Another advantage to Virtual Hosting is that you have a powerful, reliable, and professionally managed server without having to have advanced technical skills, making it ideal for an individual, small business, or even a beginner webmaster

The disadvantage of Virtual Hosting is that you are sharing the server with other users, which are configured and controlled by an administrator, not you. So basically you have your hands tied behind your back, because you have to contact the administrator everytime you have to adjust or change your configuration settings. Even if you managed to get a hold of the administrator, they may not fulfill your request. It's up to them, they are the administrator. If you were the administrator you wouldn't have these limitations and would have full control.
  2. What are Virtual Private Servers?
A Virtual Private Server is a single server that is partitioned at the root into multiple dedicated servers. This allows you to share the cost of the network connectivity, hardware, and system maintenance with other hosting customers, while maintaining your flexibility and freedom.

The real advantage of Virtual Private Servers is that they allow you to have complete control and they have the security advantages of a dedicated server at the fraction of the cost. You have access to the virtual root, Telnet, web configuration files, and full CGI-BIN access. I can't forget to mention that you also have access to your password, aliases file, and sendmail configuration file. For many reasons you can see that a Virtual Private Server is an excellent solution for small to medium size businesses that have an increasingly complex needs.
